Who would you draft at #3? Would you be open to trading...

If your team gets the third pick and Beasley and Rose are off the board, who do you pick? Do you trade the pick?

I think and hope Portland goes for OJ Mayo if they get lucky.

Definately Mayo unless you're a team stacked at SG. He has the most star potential of anyone left and will put up 20+ within 3-4 years and 25+ in his prime while playing steady defense.

Mayo. Though let's just be clear (cause apparently there are still people that are still stuck in that fantasy)...Mayo is NOT an NBA starting PG.

I don't think anyone honestly thinks he's an NBA starting PG.

Although he could fill the role if he was playing with Joe Johnson, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, or Brandon Roy.

If by "my team" you mean the Jazz, I imagine they would probably look at trade opportunities, probably to get an NBA-ready defensive centre. Although I suppose Mayo (for his talent) and Lopez (for fit) would be intriguing too.

If you just mean a general hypothetical ("my team" being some unnamed generic team), probably go with Mayo for his talent.

For the Wolves, Mayo, to play at SG.

OJ Mayo.
For any team.
Even the Knicks, and they have Jamal Crawford already, and the Warriors, who have Davis and Ellis already.

I think the better question is this:
What would your team trade FOR the #3 pick. I'm curious to see if the Nets would offer #10/#21 for #3 overall, or if any teams would offer up a nice young player for that pick...

If the Rockets had the 3rd pick, we would go after Mayo. I think he would be the perfect complement with Yao and Tracy.

Explain why please, I'd like to listen to your debate over why Mayo is not a starting PG.

On defense, I'd rather have him guarding a SG who was taller than him than a PG who was quicker than him. On offense, he didn't show the court vision or snap second decision making a good NBA PG need, and you'd probably be wasting him anyway - he's going to be most successful in the NBA off the ball.

I'd draft Mayo as a PG honestly. That's where most of his hype came from in high school. He's a star quality PG and I think you get your best value out of him at that position.

Knicks would get Mayo, so if we want to play him at the 2 we could put Crawford on the bench to be a super-sub that he should be.

If you're referring to last year, it's because Tim Floyd told him he wanted him to score.

Bayless...and im not passing up on Mayo cause of DWade...even if the Heat had a hole at SG i would pick Bayless.

I think Bayless throughtout the season proved hes a better player than Mayo.

Mayo is better defensively..Bayless is a more complete scorer..should be an 18-20pts-5assists type player with the ability he showed to get to the FT line and with his quickness.

I agree, Bayless is a better scorer... but Mayo is by far the more complete player, and basketball is about more than putting the ball in the basket.
