Darren Collison pulls out.

Smart decision. Gives him a chance to shake off the bad game in the Tourney and prove he isn't an over-dribbler. Westbrook will likely stay in now.

Definitely a smart move, he's not NBA read, hes quick but I think he needs to hit the weights, I also think Westbrook will still leave, he's projected mid-first and I don't see him passing that up.

The decision whether to pull out or stay in can have a tremendous impact on your future.

Pull out is effective 100% of the time if used correctly.

Definitely agree that this will make Westbrook even more likely to stay in the draft. Collison's presence prevents Westbrook from gaining actual experience at the point.

As for whether this was wise for Collison, we shall see. It's true his draft status puts him in the normal range of "You may not get a guaranteed contract, so stay in another year", but remember his draft status went *down* this year, not up, and next UCLA will have a crowded backcourt in which he'll have to compete, and no front court worth mentioning. His stock could very well fall further.

I think this is a mistake. Coming back has little upside for Collison. Upper classman who return tend to have their flaws picked apart. See Hibbert from last year. Collison is a first round pick and should come out, he may very well not be a first round pick next year.

I agree this keeps Westbrook in this draft though.

My thinking exactly. Maybe he will get stronger and improve his game a bit but he's going to fall in next years draft.

the way Rose abused him in the Final Four

yea i'd say it was a smart move, he needs to add
more weight to his frame before he gets to the league.

at best I think he's a backup PG who'll never start on
an NBA team dude just lacks size & defensively he's
a bit of a liability
