Ndubi Ebi had a high ceiling because of great athleticism and length. He has never been overly skilled. If he had gained experience and learned a few things in college he could easily be a Josh Smith type because he had that kind of body and athletic ability.

What's extremely odd about the wiki bit on Ebi is the following statement on that page...

Ivan Radenovich later took Ebi's scholarship at Arizona and went on the be an All Pac-10 performer and the number one overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft.

...Who? When did Greg Oden change his name to Ivan Radenovich?

I'm pretty sure that he never had a Josh Smith- like, NBA ready body. He has some potential still, but I suspect he would be at the latter half of the first round. There are too many question marks surrounding his physical development to say otherwise. I'd say 19th pick.

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/ndudi_ebi ... stats.html

Do my eyes mistake me or did he average 13.5ppg and 8.0rpg in 2 games (I know not much) in 27mpg for the T'Wolves in 04-05? That has to be something doesn't it?

NBA .com says his last game was with Dallas in the pre-season of 2006.....he fouled out in 15 minutes.

LOL...I miss that guy. The fans always got excited whenever he was put in for garbage minutes. Actually was a pretty decent passer...horrible ball handling ability though.

I still remember draft day that year. I was PUMPED for Lampe, but then we took Ebi instead. Turns out both guys never panned out.

Lampe should get another look if his supposed attitude has changed....lots of physical and basketball ability
