Who do you want/not want to get the top 3 picks and WHY?

I did this last year, and I want to do it again. As a fan of a team who is not a serious lottery contender this is what I'd like to see happen.

1) Knicks-They really need a break. Derek Rose would be perfect for them.
2) Heat -Help the worst team get better
3) Clippers - give them the 3rd pick in a 2 man draft. Very Clippers. 2)

The top 2 picks need to go East IMO. It's bad enough that 4 of the 6 worst teams are in the West, so it's going to be hard to give the East the talent it needs this way. I'd really like to see the Knicks get Derek Rose and turn things around. They really deserve it. They did fire Isiah after all! And I don't think it's rigged if the Knicks get it. It's more rigged if Memphis gets it, as their little thankyou for fixing the Lakers.

Teams I don't want to see get the top 3 picks:

1) Memphis. I will never forgive the Grizzlies for what they did. I will wish them ill fortune until the day they are finally run out of town and forced to change their name, or better yet, be contracted.

2) Seattle. Got the 2nd pick last year, really don't deserve two top 3 picks in a row, especially with the way Clay Bennet is behaving.

3) Miami. Weird, isn't it? They're also the team I want to get the 2nd pick. I mainly want them to get the 2nd pick because the east needs it, but I'm disgusted by the way they shamelessly tanked games, and how Riley ran away from the losing to go 'scout'. Just sickening. But I do really like Wade and Marion when they're healthy so they'd be fun to watch with another top 3 pick. So no matter what happens with Miami tomorrow, I'm guaranteed to be happy.

So who do you hope does/doesn't get the top picks?

i hope every Eastern team doesnt get a top 3 pick (besides Miami) especially Charlotte being in the same division.

Miami and 2 other Western teams would be ideal..

Heh, the teams you don't want to see are the teams I DO want to see. My preferred top 3 would be:

1st overall: Seattle
- A Rose/Durant/Green combo would be fun to watch for years to come

2nd overall: Memphis
- Another nice young trio, Conley/Gay/Beasley

3rd overall: Miami
- No need for Mayo on a team with Wade, so they trade Mayo to Toronto for Calderon + 17th (we pick for them) + something else :) Also, I don't really wanna see the tankers get a top 2 pick.

I'd like to see Knicks get a top 3 pick because they need it and it is no threat to Portland out East. I wouldnt mind Milwaukee, or Charlotte winning the draft for the same reason, a top 3 pick would dramatically improve their franchises and it doesnt affect the Blazers. Miami wouldnt bother me either as they are in the East. To not win the draft I would say the Sonics and Wolves, nothing against the teams but it would make the Northwest even tougher in the coming years.

1. Knicks- well because look at my name
2.LAC-I just like their team and with the second pick they can either get Rose(if the knicks dont get him) or trade the pick for a proven all star
3.Memphis-Wating Brook lopez run with Rudy,Conley, and Mike would be a pretty good scene IMO

Ugh, it's time to stop hating on the Heat. They didn't "start" tanking until the last month of the season. They were playing the healthy starters 40+ minutes before then and still lost enough to get the worst record. And they shook up their whole philosophy with the Shaq trade.

Also, Riley only left to scout for *2* whole games. That's it.

Why do the Knicks need a break? lol

Just because what they did to themselves was self-inflicted, they necessarily don't "need a break" -- It was all their fault!

:D
