Assuming they land the #1, do they get Beasley or Rose? I think Pat would take Beasley because he's more ready to contribute right off the bat than Rose is.

Well, reports are saying if Miami get's the #1 pick, they'd take Rose because he would be the better fit alongside Wade, not necessarily the best player b/w the 2.
But, knowing Riley, he doesn't put out his cards, so you never know.

A Rose/Wade back court is intimidating as hell. Then you add Marion to the mix and all Miami needs is some complementary pieces. Can you say best back court in the NBA for the next 10 years?

I think Rose would be the pick if Miami gets #1. Beasley would move Marion to the 3 where IMO he is much less efficient.

I'd trade down, speed up fixing your cap. If they draft in the top 10, they will still get a good player. Could be a good way to dump Blount and/or Banks.

Miami trades with Milwaukee
#1, Blount for #7, Bogut?
Then Miami drafts with Love (PF) or Augustin (PG), and fill in the other hole with the MLE.
Augustin
Wade
Marion
???MLE???
Bogut
They would be back in the playoffs.

Getting rid of Blount isn't worth passing up Rose or Beasley.

You can get a good player, but will you get a game changing player?

Amen.
The playoffs prove, you need superstar/great players to win, and w/o them you're just average.

No idea who Pat would pick but im sure he would try to leverage the most out of it. Last time we were in the lottery it was "leaked" that we wanted Kaman but picked Wade instead. Now its "leaked" that we want Rose?
