Where will these 2 players be drafted? Speights looks really impressive in this video.

It's weird that they showed Speights doing basically SF drills, and no post/rebounding stuff. His shot looked nice, his handle looked sloppy, but then again, he's a PF with a really good post game, so his handle shouldn't be that big of a deal. Both looked impressive here, but it IS an empty gym.

Speights reminds me of Tyrus Thomas in that he looks more SF than PF.....very possible that he has trimmed down too much (but he did need to lose some in order to help his conditioning and stamina).....his base/lower-body leaves a lot to be desired....and based on reports, seems to be falling in love with the jump shot....based on my first impression viewing of his games, I was not that impressed (didn't live up to the hype he was getting thanks to DX and their statistical approach to analyzing his game).......but don't get me wrong, 6'10 with that athleticism and skill set makes you a good overall talent
you'll excuse me if I don't act surprised that Alexander has impressed Ford and DX

I disagree with that. I thought his physique looked good, and I have no question about his strength to hold position. He does however need to work on his overall focus and aggression down low though.

I couldn't absolutely care any less about how well a guy can shoot or dunk in an empty gym. This is almost as stupid with the Yi V Chair workouts last year that had everyone raving. Show me some pickup game footage and I am fine.
I also look and wonder if Speights is 6'10 because he surely didn't look any taller than Alexander.

According to Ford's article with this video, Alexander "measured out well with a height of 6-foot-7

He's the best rebounder in the draft(biggest need on team) still avaiable at 12 in most mocks, he has a VERY polished offensive game(Petriesque pick) and incredibly athletic(something the Kings lack in their frontcourt).
The more and more I study the guy the more I'm sure that he's the Kings pick barring someone like Love dropping(who SCREAMS a Petrie pick).
I doubt anyone offers Beno more than the MLE so that fills our starting PG position in the meantime and we have 2 2nds to perhaps take a flyer on Weaver or L. Hudson in the 2nd round as back-up PG's. Also Douby, Cisco and Salmons are capable enough to handle spot duty at the 1.
Speights is a homerun/strike out pick for the Kings. Perhaps he can be taught defense(since he has the tools to be a great defender) and if he does that he'll have a VERY bright future in the Silver/Purple/Black!

That clearly shows Speights is built for rebounding and shot-blocking; nice high shoulders and long arms. He falls back a bit on that second baseline jumper. I wonder if his form is consistent.
It's true that one gleans little from a few seconds of solo video. Except that any non-athlete or any person who doesn't regularly spend time in the vicinity of NBA-caliber athletes would be impressed with what they saw. I know I was in both of these guys' cases.

I can picture a pretty dynamic pair in New Jersey with Speights and Sean Williams. Throw in Devon Harris, Carter, and Jefferson and it's a nicely balanced starting five.

I like Alexander's elevation on his jumpshot... I would love for him to be a Spur but he seems to be a lotto pick. I think his best fit would be with ekk the Suns.

Its hardly a need but if blazers go BPA at 13 I'd like to see Alexander.
