^^ But CDR could also be the scorer who we've been wanting. Robin Lopez will barely be better than Varejao, if that. McGee is a huge project. Don't know much about Ajinca. And as far as others...I'd rather pass on Hibbert, I'd like Speights or Koufos but who knows if they'll be there when we pick. CDR just feels like a sure fire bet for someone who WILL be a good contributor for the Cavs. The Cavs obviously need a big and a scorer, but we only have 1 pick. Maybe we can get a big thru trade or free agency.

JJ Hickson is a POWER FORWARD.
Detroit already has FOUR of those: Rasheed Wallace, Antonio McDyess, Jason Maxiell, and Amir Johnson. ALL of them will be under contract next season, and you want us to take ANOTHER PF?
I wouldn't be *so* upset if you didn't have us passing on Jason Thompson, a C that Joe has scouted, for a guy projected to be the next Brandon Bass.

Hey another Cavs fan
...I still think they would select Lopez or another big and package Varejao with their expirings for a scorer. Too much bad blood between the Cavaliers and Varejao after the nasty holdout last year. It seems inevitable Andy is walking next summer so he's probably going to be traded. I definitely agree they need both a Big and a scorer though.- djthesonicsfan

R Wallace is going to be 34 years old at the start of next season. Same for A McDyess except he's been a shell of the player he was before the injury for some time. T Ratliff is already 35 years old. I just went with the big with the most upside in my opinion. If you think it is J Thompson, I wouldn't necessarily disagree. But are you saying you think Detroit's looking for a wing?

Best, most elequint, smart ass reply I've gotten on the K Love to the Wolves forecast. Well done.
We all know the vast majority of you guys want OJ Mayo... but what about R McCants & C Brewer? What about help for A Jefferson? What's the plan for those areas if it does turn out to be OJ Mayo?

At the time I put my mock together it was just my speculation. Apparently my guess might not be too far off...

I don't care how old they are. I care about their contractual statuses. Rasheed will likely be re-signed, and Antonio has two years left. That means that your upside pick wouldn't get to play PF for at least two years.
BUT.
We have Jason Maxiell.
AND
Amir Johnson, who we have put more stock into than anybody not named Rodney Stuckey.
We want a SF or a C. A PF is the last thing we need.
