This guy might be the steal of the draft... He is an absolute monster, but he is very raw and needs to develop a little bit more consistency. I think he can turn into a borderline allstar and average very very good numbers in his career.

LOL, too funny. And very true.
This obsession many have with athleticism (and "potential") has always made me wonder. Sure, athleticism has its place, but it's behind offensive fundamentals, defensive fundamentals and intensity, basketball IQ and commitment to the game.
Seems to me that recently more attention is being paid to what matters, and less is being paid to how high a guy can jump.
Or maybe that's just wishful thinking...

Just for comparison... look what the Bullish Love did...
Alexander also wowed people with his strength. He bench-pressed the 185-pound bar 24 times and, according to one source, is going to show a vertical jump of 40-plus inches.

Love also did well in the strength training, bench-pressing the 185-pound bar 18 times.

Could be but I see alot more basketball IQ and intensity in Alexander then in Graham.
EXACTLY, you watch Joey Graham out there and it looks like he just has no clue at times. Alexander is a very, very smart player. On top of that, he has the drive to win as shown by him taking his team on his back and carrying them in the Big East tourney and the NCAA tourney (Sweet 16 bid).

It is not about Alexanders leap that intrigues me. It is amazing and consistent growth in 5 years. This is probably because of the consistent stories of his crazy work ethic. He seems to have a smart work ethic as well, this part of his game reminds me of Kobe and Nash. Players that run through all of their summer workouts at game speed and target specific things for improvement. They then do ridiculous amount of repetition to commit the improvement to muscle memory. If he has half of the smarts and ethic of those two he will have and outstanding career.

Alexander is skilled and has great size for an NBA small forward. His leaping ability is just a bonus.
On a random note, Alexander's brothers (John and Jeremy) both played college basketball as well. Both are older than Joe and played DIII at Washington College in Chestertown, MD. Joe is the "freak" of the family, as no one else in his family is near that tall or athletic.
