Idont know about a lock for the top 2. He was lock for top 5 but top 2? Mayo,Beasley,Rose,Gordan were looked at be time players but after the tounry it went from lock top 5 to Lock for top 2. He also Became the stud of the class, While beasley was the whole season.

Hasn't changed my opinion of him. He's a great prospect and I feel he would be a better fit on the Heat than Michael Beasley.

I don't think Rose is like Brewer and Noah. Both of them saw huge climbs because of the tournament. Rose was probably going 2 or 3 before the tournament.

Let's not forget, Rose would have went in the top 3 in last years draft, had the age limit not been put in place. It's really nothing like Okafor who was a senior.

I would call the impression that Derrick Rose only climbed up because of the final four a myth.

Derrick Rose was potential number 1 overall before the season even began, i.e. nbadraft.net had him at #1 in August 2007.

pretty much the whole season it was beasley at #1 and rose at #2. it wasn't until the tourney that rose was thought of as a #1 pick.
