question about the draft process?

why dont teams bring in their own team and maybe run a three on three scrimmage to see how nba ready these guys really are, instead of all the top prospects declining to work out against eachother or these guys working out against scrubs? i know the teams cant call a mandetory practice, but im sure they can get 5 or 6 guys who are already there working out to scrimmage against some of these prospects right?

I believe its not allowed the any prospects work out with or against current NBA players.
Was watching the Raptors channel last night and they inteviewed former player/ new assistant coach Alvin Williams . .they had just worked out Ty Lawson. Alvin was dripping with sweat.

I know when Isiah was the GM here he used to play 1 on 1 in the workouts.
