MJ strikes again? (Terrance Williams to Charlotte signs)

Lots of signs right now have Terrance Williams going to the Bobcats. He apparantley said on Twitter immediately after his Bobcat workout that he knows where he's going, then flat out stated the hint that it's a lottery team. His other comments seem to revolve around a similar idea. Also Chad Ford's comments recently back this up, he stated Williams has passed Henderson on the Cats board.

If the lottery hint is true the Cats are the most obvious pick anyways, not only from him fitting the team's needs and LB, but because they're the one team who's proven to be dumb enough drafting annualy to reach ten spots for Terrance Williams when an obvious pick and fit is sitting in front of them (Lopez, Henderson). The only way to top this would be if they took Tyler Hansbrough at 12

Thanks for doing it again MJ. Once again you prove you never disappoint in June. Let's all give it up for the GOAT

Nets pick at 11 and have serious interest in TWill. I'd say as of now he is their pick, and I couldn't be happier about it.

Sorry, Gerald Henderson is supposed to be the obvious pick for the Cats? I mean I'm not the biggest Williams fan, but Henderson is one guy I want less.

Your thread fails.
Why would you think he is a reach at 12? Because "We're 3 months too late" nbadraft.net has him at 22?
Henderson is the one who is a serious reach as a lotto pick IMO and I can't see Larry or Jordan taking a Dookie unless he was a can't miss.
Williams would be an awesome pick at 12 and like Hansel said, the Nets are said to be seriously considering him and I couldn't be happier either.

As a Bobcats fan I'd be stoked with him at #12.

If I was you I'd be more worried about what you guys are doing with the #9. I mean, James Johnson is a nice player, but at #9??

BTW: Who has the Bobcats/Jordan annually drafted 10 spots too high?

The op's statement is quite the oxymoron.

I've even heard Golden State is taking a strong look at him with the 7th pick. I highly doubt that mock drafts from Draft Express, RealGM, Nbadraft.net, etc. are what GMs and office personnel look towards when deciding on who to draft. You are stuck on these mock drafts.

Who is this Dr. Mufasa? Terrence Williams is a great pick at the 11/12 range. He's so versatile and can pretty much play 3 positions in the NBA. You'll not only get an offensive minded player but a VERY good defensive player as well. Not sure why you hating on Terrence.

He's a reach at 12 because he's a senior who has no game. He might be a solid 7th-8th man because he plays hard but unless this draft is really that bad you usually look for those guys in the 20s, not 12

Yeah and I've seen first hand the carnage of taking seniors with ability as lacking as T Will's (Graham, Haffa)

When you say, "who has no game", I take it you mean, "Defense?! Passing?! We don't need no stinkin' passing and defense! Basketball is all bout scoring! Buckets, buckets, buckets! Let it rainnnnnnn!"?

Would definitely fit the bill in Charlotte with the way they re-shaped that roster.

A lot of versatile players that play defense and play hard, basically following the Pistons´ blue print from a couple years ago.

Okafor
Diaw/Radmanovic
Wallace/Williams
Bell/Williams
Felton/Augustin

I´d still say they need a scorer at the 2/3, but definitely a nice group of players that you can root for bvery easily.

Makes me wonder if the Charlotte would want to do something like Bell, Radman and the 12th for VC?

No need to. BC drafts pretty well. Much better than Charlotte Bobcats GM's

Terrance Williams (a Seattle guy by the way) is who I picked for the Cats. As a player he's for real. There's a nice statistical breakdown of how his game compares to others in the draft (http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Jus ... Crop-3264/). The only thing is that personality wise he's a little left of center. Not saying he's going to go Dennis Rodman, but the signs are there.

Defense, rebounding, passing, 3 pt shooting, size, and potential to get better? He has game and he's far from a reach at 12, especially in this draft.

This would be a great move for Charlotte, they'd be serious competitors in the east.

Nope.
