We have like 6 guys on the bench we could put out there in his place. Barnes could just go out and not shoot and it would be better than turning it over like a McDonalds apple pie

Were it not for the O board putback we'd only have been down 2 late... But nooooooo lets ignore fundamentals and details. We could have stayed ahead had it not been for absolutely bone head plays and lack of fundamentals.

Its not just Champaigne's fault but he's a big part of it. All the brainless turnovers throughout the game put us in the position to have to rely on a fringe player not to do something stupid. This is what you get. Good teams dont do this...

4TH Q: SPURS 106 76ERS 111
Dear Spurs,
I rarely say this and do so with love but I am disappointed.
Winnable game, a good test versus a wounded but talented team, and we cobbled together a disjointed effort with lower than expected BBIQ and higher than expected TOs. In other words, some of our old nemeses returned.
Dev, an early clock contested off balance 3 when we are up 1 late was a poor choice.
Mitch, CBass playing 7 minutes when he leaped Collins in the rotation and Yabusele was torching us was bizarre. So was sitting Mamu who makes *over 40% on 3s* when we couldn't **** make barely any. AND WE GOT OUTREBOUNDED 47-42 including 9-3 on O boards, with a back breaking putback against late in the game. AND why WHY was Julian out there on D late?! W H Y ? ! !
We are just not optimizing our players' strengths with these lineups and rotations.
We gave up 19 points on 18(!) TOs (they had 11 steals; bad, hot potato, throw up a prayer passing by us), and we lost the PITP battle 38-30 this with their behemoth C out for much of the game. So why did we sit our back up bigs rotation of Collins, Mamu, and but for 7 minutes, Bassey? Make it make sense. It's not that complicated. Take advantage of our strengths and an opponent's exposed weakness at a given time.
It would help if Barnes made a basket now and again. If he needs to come off the bench, ok, but then if that means Julian starts, less so.
I know Dev hasn't been back long and it may be unfair to say this at this point, but he hasn't really stood out as the pencilled in second star option to Wemby. He's pushing for it and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but that's also the point. The consistency is not there, the recognition of best right shot in a given moment (score and clock), lacking.
We had too many instances of our help guys not recognizing the need, too many instances of five Spurs in the paint frozen as a pass made its way out to the arc, and too many instances of not hauling ass after the rebound in our end. Too slow and laboured and clunky O as well.
All of which is to say that yes Wemby is phenomenal but if this season separates wheat from chaff some starters may get pushed out, and he needs more overall talented help. CP3 has been great and he makes plays on both ends at 39. Sochan except for the 3s is terrific, too. Love Castle, he's part of our future, even if he is more raw on O.
If we're not going to play Branham or Blake why is Sidy still watching games from the bench? He's a defensive stalwart, a big booty body, great passer, and at some point we have to know what we have in him.
I really don't get a heavy seven-man rotation with three spares, I really don't, much less the lineup combinations.
Pop please come back!!!!!!!
