3RD Q: SPURS 78 CLIPPERS 91
Started slow, closed the gap some, then let it slip a bit.
Barnes with a vintage game.
Steph coming alive.
Champie still missing...
Get back on D.
Protect the rim and the ball.

I **** LOVE Castle stepping up to take on the D challenge of guarding Beard then going at him on O.
Kid is fearless.

3 and a half left and we have Branham McLaughlin Blake Duke (I think) and Ingram.

Well our 3rd stringers took it to them with 3s and full court presses and closed the gap to within 5...

4TH Q: SPURS 117 CLIPPERS 122
Competitive top to bottom, start to finish, quick, selfless, stepped up on D. Solid team effort.
Steph started a bit slow but stepped up more as the game wore on, driving relentlessly, taking on the best players to defend and going at them on O. He just doesn't give a **** who's in front of him and tries regardless.
He finished with 19 on only 5-7, 1-2 from 3, game high 8-12FTs, 1 board, team highs 8 assists, and 2 blocks. Every game something brave and new. Highlights galore.
Speaking of highlights, Keldon passed Manu for the most points for a bench player in a single season. Underrated. Willing to take on any role. Finding ways to thrive in them. Love his attitude and that willingness to adapt. He led the bench with a super efficient 12
Barnes led us with 24 on excellent 8-10 of which 6-8 was from 3, plus 2-2FTs. Five boards, 1 assist, and team high 3 steals. A pro's pro.
What a difference an approach makes. Dev took one more FG than Steph but finished with only 7 points since 1-5 was from 3. No FTs...
Remarkably, we played everyone available and not one bench player got to the FT line.
Branham put up 5 FGAs in 4 minutes, making 4 of them. Not shy Malaki is back!
Beffies Champie and Mamu looked for each other as they do but struggled to score. It happens. Still, we do need to work on JC making layups. It's remarkable how consistently he misses them.
We had 29 assists, and 16 TOs, better than earlier, but several were unforced errors.
Blake and Castle backcourt was quick physical and relentless. Good one-two smart combo.
Our efficiency kept us in it then the 3rd stringers chose to punch back and close the gap, making it nice and uncomfortable for our hosts.
Proud of our compete level.
Keep it going.
