Manu benched again

Post#1 » by Magz50 » Mon Mar 3, 2008 5:39 pm

"When he comes with that look, I know what he's going to say," said Ginobili, who had 17 points in the Spurs' 93-83 victory. "He said it was the best for the team, and I want what's best for the team, too."

You really have to admire Manu as a professional. Seeing how well he's been playing and then just sucking it up and coming off the bench. Tha takes heart and intelligence. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Yeah, a true team player. How many other starter-quality players in the NBA, let alone superstar-quality players, would be OK with this? I can't think of any...

Manu knows that when it matters he'll be on the court and make an impact. That's what people remember, those moments...

Ginobili knows that it matters who ends the game, not who starts.

it's good to know, I didn't really like the flow of the game with both of them being out on the floor so early in the game.

Yup, not surprising, in the way of Manu, and it being done now with Tony returning to form.

Watch out league.

he surely does, as does pop!

...but I think Manu is just a great guy...and playing for a european team (and the argentine national team) should have to do a lot with it too...here in europe its all about the team...fans celebrate the team and not the players...teams play offense and defense with 5 guys not isolating all of the time...I bet you wont find a lot of guys from europe, that wouldnt sacrifice their own success for the team...Manu does it on a real high level (even ESPN kobe-su$%as called him a legit MVP candidate no matter as hes comming of the bench)

I'm really proud of what he is doing and what the team does! :clap:

wondering if pop ever thought about parker coming of the bench...but with guys like stoudamire and vaughn, compared with findawg and barry, it shouldnt work as nicely then to have manu beeing the sparplug!

Honestly there isn't any other player like him... He has a great attitude and tells everyone he is interesting in the ring and not stats.

Manu = class act.

I don't necessarily agree with him coming off the bench, I think he's better suited as a starter, but no matter. He gets court time either way.

Far to many players make a big fuss about being a starter.

I'd rather be in there at the end of the game.
