Agreed ^.
I mean, other than the possibililty of a game, it's very difficult to believe we'll play like we did at Utah, against Phoenix, against the Lakers, 2-3 others, for most of a playoff series.
For sure, the uncertainity with a few things is iffy, though.

The team can't have the attitude of "we'll just turn it on when the playoffs start." That's dangerous. Look at Miami last year and the Pistons almost every year. You pay for having that attitude.
And I know we're built for the playoffs, but you still need some sort of momentum going into the postseason. It's ignorant to just assume that we will flip a switch once the PO's start and win it all. We've never been like that.
November thru to the AS break have traditionally been our preseason; the games were meaningless and used to experiment with different lineups and rotations. Our real season always began in March, when Pop would get kicked out of almost every arena and TD would jaw at the refs more than ever. We always took some forward momentum into the playoffs.
I'm not saying we can't do it, as far as I'm concerned the West is a level playing field - and as a basketball fan, the parity of the competition is something I'm really excited about. But I think the team needs to shake off the Shaqitis, b/c that concerns me.
