You can harp on the non call all day fact of the matter is Spurs shouldn't have even been granted a chance any way, seeing as the previous play should have given the Lakers the ball out of bounds any way.

I'll admitt it was a foul clearly no doubt about it. But it only would have been a two shot foul any way.

But the pic is in good humor I hope !

First, as I;ve said before already, yeah, it was a foul that could have tied the game. But they kicked our *** for 47 mins and the foul has to be more obvious than that to reverse an outcome of a game.

So, I know it's a tough pill to swallow but let's try to remember how ridiculously stupid some Suns fans sounded last year saying the refs/NBA screw job costed them a title and were saying "*" to our 2007 title. They had already lost at home to us in that series. They had a lead the next game and couldn't hang on. Those guys seem to find ways to lose the biggest of games yet think they were one hip check from a title, when in reality, they were snuffed out 4-2, 10 WINS FROM A TITLE. Please, 10 wins?

There are 48 mins for you to show you are the better team in any given game. There are 7 games (if you can earn them) to show you are the better team. One call on one play means nothing.

In a 7 game series, with 48x7 mins of regulation playing time, the better team wins, every time.

If we lose tonight, that's 4-1, that's resounding and that is unquestionably a superior team, at least in this 10 day period under these circustances. :-)

If there is any question that we are closer to them than that, we'll find a way to win tonight.

If we are a VERY closely matched team to them, we'll take this to 7 games.

If we are the better team, we will win this series.

If not, hats off to them.

Nah man, totally in jest. I was channeling my inner Suns fan.

I said it on the General Board, we had MANY opportunities to take this game by the throat and we didn't do that.

The Lakers did something that I never expected them to do, and that was to beat us on our home court.

Nothing but credit to the Lakers. I do think the Barry play was a foul, but it's not the Lakers fault that it wasn't called.

Blah of a series loss...

They were enough defensively, actually being significant, and very good offensively with a better bench.

We couldn't quite score enough, and our bench was a 1/2 notch off or so from their's.

Just didn't match up enough with them, ultimately, and the Kobe factor.

Also really didn't help that Manu had a couple legit physical factors hindering him, and, I don't believe in injuries not being a factor in ability to play, becuase they are. Surprised Barry and Thomas didn't play more in this series, Barry earlier, Thomas as a whole.

Props to the Lakers, they were the better team.

Time to get re-tooled and some new blood this off-season, only a matter of time.. and I'm excited for that process to begin later this month.

Ballings7 I posted that on our board because I saw that from a thousand miles away. And I disagree about the bench being only a 1/2 notch off............they were way off. Spurs couldn't match the Lakers bench energy.

Bottom line is that basketball is a young athlete's game, while a older player can still play it from a more cerebral stand point it can only come into play if the younger guy plays out of control and with no purpose.

That is why the Triangle offense is so good, because it's tempo control and you can adjust it to any defense. So in turn young guys have to stay within the frame work of the offense.

End the end I think Pop just went with the guys he felt comfortable with. Even though Horry was one he couldn't depend on any more he should have found a way to stick with Kurt. He's better then Horry at this point.

I was very surprise he shortened his rotation as the series went on.

Coming in I thought you felt the Spurs defense would slow down the Lakers offense but I know other wise. The Lakers were never going to try and run it down the Spurs throat because the Spurs defense is so redundant they won't beat themselves. The Lakers were only going to run when the opportunity presented itself.

Okay. What I said is what relatively accurate for how the series went, that's all. It's a credible and truthful assessment.

And the Lakers offense was definitely not what it was against the Jazz and Nuggets. There was a noticable difference, like I said. But it was still consistently effective, because the Lakers are a versatile and high-level offensive team, and combined with their defense being solid + Spurs inconsistent offense.

Lakers out-hustled us and out-executed us down the stretch, which is how we normally win ballgames. A dominant series for them.

As for us, let's see what the off-season brings. We need a roster overhaul...who wants to come to SA?
