Props to the Lakers.

I feel like we overachieved in the playoffs anyway. With the way were playing coming in, I'm surprised we got as far as we did.

It's a bittersweet feeling right now. It doesn't hurt as much as '04, but it still stings a little. But I know at the end of the day the better team won the series.

Onto a (hopefully) busy offseason!

Bye Fin, Horry and all other geriatrics! Don't let the door hit your walker on the way out!

So who will you guys be rooting for now ?

I'll be rooting for the Pistons. I just think the Lakers and Celtics got some players on their team which they received on a silver platter, whereas the Pistons are still the same team which has to work hard for it every night.

The thought of Doc Rivers or Flip Saunders having a championship on their resume doesn't sit well with me.

Go Lakers. Keep the chip in the Western Conference.

This definitely doesn't hurt as much as 04, and doesn't irritate me as much as 06, but it's still sad. I would've loved for them to repeat at least once, but not this time I guess. Then again, most other fans would kill to just see their team win 1 championship in their lifetime, let alone 4, so there's not much to complain about.

Exactly, even for me just having the Lakers reach the finals again after these past 3 years, (which weren't even that horrible) is good enough for me. Especially after the hell of an off season this team has had prior to the start of the season.

Good series to the spurs, it really could have gotten either way, I actually predicted closer to a 7 game series. I thought the Spurs would kill us from the perimeter, lucky for us it only happened in game 3. As long as you guys have your core of Duncan/Parker/Ginobli/Bowen and add some younger role players I see you guys making it past the 2nd round again. I'm glad you guys beat the Hornets, it would only feel right going through the defending champs to the Finals than going through the Hornets.

2006 was irritating, because IMO the better team lost the series.

This year was pretty cut and dried. We were eliminated by a younger, hungrier, deeper and more athletic team. I don't feel bad losing to a superior team, and the Lakers proved that they're the real deal.

I feel very fortunate to have witnessed four championships in my lifetime as a Spurs fan. When I was watching Robinson and co. get owned by Utah in the 90's, I never thought I'd get to experience one deep playoff run, let alone four.

I don't know if this is a blip on the radar, or truly the changing of the guard in the Western Conference. With TD, Manu and TP + Pop on the sidelines, we're automatically streets ahead of the Mavs and Suns...but are those teams even worth mentioning as legit contenders anymore?

The Lakers are set for years to come.
The Hornets will only grow from this year's playoff experience.
The Jazz will presumably get better.
The Blazers will be dangerous.

He's just excited.

But great series guys. We all know Spurs are not done yet, you just need a younger bench and you're still contenders. Good luck next year.
