How about a trade with the Bucks? Ginobili would be an incredible fit with Bogut, and I can see them trading a whole lot for him.
Bucks trade: #8 pick, Charlie Villanueva, Desmond Mason
Spurs trade: Manu
or if you are willing to pay a SG max
Bucks trade: Michael Redd, Charlie Villanueva
Spurs trade: Manu, whatever filler is needed for contracts
How do those scenarios look, and how about the prospect of a Bucks trade in general? If you're looking to go young that 8 pick would help a lot, or if you're looking to make a quicker turn around Redd would be an extremely dominant scorer next to Duncan (though I don't know if the spurs would be willing to pay him).
trade Ginobili?..

I also hate Charlie Villanueva's game..
Redd has flaws in his game, but inconsistency isn't one of them. I think his consistency, in fact, would be a great benefit for you guys, as he'd provide a huge scoring punch that Ginobili does not provide.
The two big questions in my mind regarding whether or not you would be interested in Redd are these:
1. Would San Antonio be willing to pay $18 mill a year for a one dimensional scorer, much less be willing to trade Ginobili for him? I think you guys would vastly prefer a Redd in his prime to the declining Ray Allen, but I'm far from convinced you gusy would target Ray either though.
2. Could the San Antonio system make Redd more than a one-dimensional scorer? Redd hasn't had a good coach since Karl, and that team played no defense whatsoever. Redd did play very good defense for Coach K on Team USA though, so I wonder if playing under an incredible coach in Pop and for one of hte best systems in the history of the NBA could lead him to make major improvements in his game.
Even aside from those two considerations, I'm still wondering if you guys choose to go young would you trade Ginobili for a deal involving the Bucks' 8 pick? I bet we'd deal the Pick, Mason, and Charlie Villanueva for Manu, and I'm not sure you could get a better package involving a young player/pick for Manu.

If we were going to trade manu we'd want something for him that we can use. We're not going to trade a member of the big three for spare parts and a pick.
If that draft plays out we can look to get
Gallinari
Jordan if we wanted a big.
I don't know the trade rules with a pick but we could re trade down and make a play for Brandon Rush?
But there isn't alot there to replace Ginobili and Desmond Mason isn't enough.
He is the reigning Six-Man, the only way i'd trade Gino is for a good starting swing man which is what he's worth.
