2002 Playoffs fixed

Post#1 » by Blame Rasho » Wed Jun 11, 2008 4:02 pm

Yeah... you prolly heard the news by now.

Thoughts and opinions?

I just think it is laughable that some fans actually believe that there wasn't anything screwy going around. I remember posting up a storm here on realgm after that game.

I have to give props to Phil... he is the master of spin when he was asked about the situation.

Honestly I would forgive Stern and the NBA if they had a press release that said that... Blame Rasho.

I've been saying it for years that series was rigged.

Jackson should be called Phil "Mr Asterix" Jackson.

Who has the asterisk now?

Kings were a far better team that year.

Whether it's true or not, this controversy only adds to what was there before... quite sad

A potential can of worms is opening here, and I think Stern will have to take the fall on this one. Too many questionable incidents have happened under his reign of terror, and it might be time for him to step down and hand the reigns over to someone else, for the good of this game that I've loved for so long.

It sickens me to think that an entire series was fixed. This isn't pro wrestling; though at least McMahon had the balls to admit that his "sport" was a farce.

I'm seriously questioning whether I'll follow the NBA anymore, if this is the crap that is going on. Makes you wonder how many other outcomes were decided in boardrooms rather than on the court.

I remember that Game 6 pretty vividly...one of the worst-officiated games I've ever seen in my life. I don't doubt for a second that there was something screwy going on there.
