I think we need to sign people before we have a roster... I am not sure when that happens. I don't think any rookie has signed a contract yet.

Yeah... me too. There is always the hope of getting that gem like Stephen Jackson.

Other than our guys, I know Adelke and Devin Green... Green I liked how he played with the Lakers, athletic, plays hard, can defend, kind of has a three pt shot (last I saw), and Adelke is a tough PF.

Sanikidze not being there is a big surprise. That probably signifies he's no longer in the Spurs' plans of the future.

The one thing I'm most relieved about the team is that Newman isn't coaching this year. Last year he was just horrific. This time it's Mike Bud and Quin Snyder. Mike Bud is a great assistant coach that knows what he's doing, and Quin being there will help out a lot since he of the whole staff probably knows Mahinmi's game the most. That and the fact that he knows how to balance minutes among Spurs prospects as he did in the D-League should be a huge bonus for Hill, Hairston, and Gist.

I agree... I remember when they drafted him the spurs thought of him as a big sleeper and even traded up to get him. He is MIA. It is hard to get info on him.

I am kinda disappointed in the SL team. It is basically 3 potential players(Ian,Hill,Harrison) and a bunch of nobodies.

I'm going to Vegas on Monday morning, work related, for two weeks.

Gonna catch the Monday game, not sure who we play, my buddy told me it's at 7PM I think?

Gonna keep a close eye on Hill, Ian, Harrison and Gist.

I love Vegas...

You will gain like 10 lbs from the damn buffets... The Bellagio is the best by the way.

If you get a chance, go to the Cotto/Margarito fight. Trust me it will be worth it.

Oh yeah, Vegas is great, been there a few times. We'll be hitting the Casinos there more than a few times. Funny, I just flew in to SA today from Biloxi which I had no idea how cool it must have been before Katrina. The remaining casinos are pretty nice to my surprise. So, I'm warmed up on the roulette table already, up a few hundred right now and managed to break even on the weight gain to my surprise. That Brazillian stop last night was incredible. Let's see how it goes in Vegas.

Cotto/Margarito will probably be tough to get in to. I usually walk up after the undercards started and see if someone gets desperate to sell.

Isn't there some MMA fights going on in Vegas this weekend too?

I don't quite think you should overlook Gist, BR.

with all due respect to blamerasho, i think the wynn buffet is the best, i goto vegas almost every 3 months and i would highly recommend the wynn. it is a little bit cheaper than the bellagio but both are expensive.

look forward to your opinions on our rooks, unless you dont have internet access there.

I hate taking my camera with me on work related trips, my friends say I'm embarassing myself looking like a tourist. They don't realize I would have amateur journalistic reasons for this, but I might get away with it.

I'll try to post some comments after the game, IF we don't hit the casinos hard that night. :)
