Fabricio Oberto
Hey guys, I think Oberto could be a handy addition to my Chicago Bulls, so I am wondering if I can get a bit of an idea about how highly you rate him, and what would it take for us to trade for him? Feel free to add in extra players and picks if you want.

Re: Fabricio Oberto
Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Chicago and San Antonio being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Chicago and San Antonio had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

That is a trade I would do, I would add one of our extra 2nd rounders.
I would really like Thabo to be added to our order than dirt swing man rotation.
The thing about Oberto is that he isn't going to ever hurt your team. He can start or come off the bench. He plays smart. Sets picks, plays physical d, knows the art of getting open and finishing plays.

Re: Fabricio Oberto
With the lack of big men that we have right now, I don't think the Spurs trade another perimeter player or a young player that is viewed more on potential than actual talent.
If we were to trade Oberto, that leaves Kurt (who shouldn't play more than 24 minutes anymore), Mahinmi (who has basically no NBA experience) at Center. I don't know about you guys, but that's an extremely weak tandem at Center.
Plus, we already have Bowen, Manu, Udoka, and Finley at SG/SF. Trading away what is a key contributing member and possible starter at Center for a guy who most likely will not play ahead of those 4 guys i mentioned means less chance at a title this year.
You know our window of opportunity is not that long. We need to take advantage of our opportunity. If that means sacrificing the future and going all out in the next year or 2 for a title, then so be it. But i'm not gonna want to be a little weaker this year for the sake of our future. A ring sounds better to me than a few more wins in year 2011.

Re: Fabricio Oberto
I like Blame Rasho's trade. With the bulls having a glut of SG's they could afford to lose Thabo. Oberto does alot of things that don't show up on stat sheets. He's great at getting open for high low passes, sets very good picks, he also has very good hands and good footwork.

No way, I think Spurs will keep him for sure.
