Duncan out, Spurs sign Pops

Post#1 » by coyotes_geek » Wed Feb 25, 2009 9:31 pm

No idea how related these two are, but Duncan is day to day with something called right quad tendonosis. Not a doctor, so I have no idea what that means. Day to day suggests something significantly less than worst case scenario.

Spurs also sign Pops Mensah-Bonsu to a 10 day. He was tearing up the d-league, so I guess he's earned a chance to show what he can do at the next level.

Is Oden playing?

And I don't think the TD injury is all that legit, I think he's just banged up a bit and Pop has decided to rest him for a few games.

I'm interested to see if Pops can be a monster on the boards and blocks like he was in the NBDL.

I also believe that Duncan desperately needs another big on the blocks with him. Bonner is good for 15-30 min per game to spread the court. But they need another big at key times.
