I've never rooted for a team that Gooden has been a part of. However, I watch a lot of hoops and this guy is honestly one of the lowest bball IQ players I've ever had the displeasure of watching. He makes so many silly errors it hurts. I guess if anyone can beat that out of him it's the Spurs organization. However, I really don't think this is the guy you're looking for.

Whatever he lacks defensively he can more and make up for it offensively and on the glass along with being a great lockroom presence and being involved in the community. I honestly believe had the Cavs kept Gooden we get past the Celtics and win the championship. Gooden is excellent at playing against KG. Gooden should have 4 allstar games or more under his belt if he was getting starters minutes and touches during his career.

no, he won't, I hope you realize there are 3 beter pg's in the east right now that are better and will be better in the future

and you need to realize that the nba is a lot more then looking at past seasons ppg and rpg averages and then making judgements on that players career which obviously you know nothing about, you have to realize he had no chance in memphis because of gasol, in orlando that was one of the worst teams in nba history, in cleveland he did not get starters touches or minutes and was not liked by Lebron or Mike Brown so there were a lot of games where Drew could have had huge games but he was prevented from doing so by not getting the ball because of James and Hughes and Mike Browns play calls, or he was benched unfairly because Mike Brown hated him. And with your **** Bulls team Drew would deliver for you guys yet you wouldn't give him the ball or enough minutes. Why you guys would release your best big is completely beyond me and your team will not make the playoffs now.

This Gooden4Life guy is almost as bad as Gooden himself. I'll be very interested in how he progresses under Pops because if he can reform a guy like Gooden he really is a basketball coaching god.
