Just had a question of how high are you guys on him. I'm a Pacer fan since I live in Indiana but have always like the Spurs, great organization and always have good team with alot of respectful players.
I really look for the Pacers to try to move Foster and he has said he would like to go to the Spurs. Was wondering if Hill would be part of a trade in a Foster deal.

I would say it depends on what you guys give up with Jeff Foster. I would do it if you included your first round pick this year and we would give up Oberto.
So Oberto/Hill for Foster/first round. The thing about foster is he has two years left on his contract, not sure what the front office is thinking about 2010. We are trying to get this guy Tiaggo Splitter that summer.
I personally think George Hill was the only bright spot in our playoffs, he and Tony Parker are the only legitimate young guys that can play on our team at both ends of the floor, obviously Parker is in a league of his own, but that is just how bad our youth is, basically we have no youth outside of Hill that can contribute right now. It would take an offer we cannot refuse to get Hill right now.

Re: Hill
For the Spurs, George Hill have more value than Jeff Foster.
We're old to a point where we clearly need to add some young legs on this team. Trading Hill, our youngest and perhaps brightest kid on the team, for a veteran does nothing to help our youth movement.
I say no to trading Hill in a deal where the key guy we get is Jeff Foster.

I really liked what I saw from Hill. I wouldn't be happy if we traded him to tell you the truth. We are so old that we can't trade away our few assets we have.

I'm really high on him. He's got a great work ethic and understands his role on the team and is willing to do whatever Pop tells him too. He's got a bright future with this team, i'm saying he's going to be a star but he's going to be a good role player.

Re: Hill
Personally, I'm very open to trading Hill. He's not of many use for us right now.
Pop wants him to be a PG, and we already have Parker. Parker is not at an age where we need to start grooming our future PG.
Right now, I think the Spurs go forward with the thinking of "our future is built around Parker". Parker is only 26 years old. Does anyone else in here think that George Hill is willing to play 15 minutes a game for about the next 6-8 years?
My preference right now for a backup PG is a veteran point who plays defense. Perhaps just a better version of Vaughn. Would love to have a guy like Lindsey Hunter when he's in Detroit. Just a veteran PG who knows he can only play 15 minutes a game and plays suffocating defense.
So really, I don't think Hill has a bright future with this team. I think he's gonna be here for the length of his rookie contract and then he'll want out.
The problem really is that he's our brightest young player (nothing to brag about since he got no competition) and as the Spurs go with the youth movement, there's no way we're trading our youth to simply get older.

Re: Hill
I think Hill an be groomed to play NBA level 2 guard.
It was his natural postion in college and besides how awesome would it be to see a Parker/Hill backcourt, both players have great quickness, and Hill proved that he can score when he needs to during that period where he had to start and was outplaying Derrick Rose at that point.
