Maggette for Kurt, Bruce and cash....

Post#1 » by JES12 » Tue Jun 9, 2009 8:22 pm

That's what Warrior fans are saying is as good as done if the Warriors would be willing to do it.

St Nick is from the Czech Republic.

It is just mindless speculation....

It is no better than me saying Chris Bosh will be traded for Amare.... or Manu and Oberto.

Fact is that we had interest in him for the MLE but not for 10 million dollars. We have made a 2010 plan for that offseason. Would you break the bank for him? Would any team break the bank for him? Doubtful... very doubtful.

No thanks, that contract would cripple us finacially and Maggette is not worth it.

I wanted Maggette and still do. But I think Magz contract is to big for us. Even if the Spurs had that kind of money last year, I don't think they're willing to give it to Magz.

If we get desperate thou, I'd do it. Trading Bowen/Thomas for Magz definitely makes our team better.

Yikes that contract goes on for 5 years and gets worse and worse. I like Maggette, but not that much, holy crap he is going to be 34 and making over 10 mil at some point. Which is crazy considering his game is based on his athleticism.

I'm but no way would I like Spurs doing a trade like this. The contract is horrible, his defense is suspect and we need to get younger. I don't mind giving up Kurt,Bruce and cash but not for Mags.

The Spurs don't make a habbit of trading for appauling contracts. Maggette isn't worth risking any future rebuilding over.

Not a chance the Spurs get a hold of Maggs with his contract. The Spurs, if they get some sense, will get all the reasonable help they need to help improve their squad to better themselves for a better playoff run unlike this past season playoffs.

You know what I wouldn't mind having him back, him and Manu would be a deadly combo at SG/SF. He does all the things this team needs, play defense, shoot from outside and he's able to create his own shot. Pops and the gang should be able to keep him in line and he seems to care about winning.
