Zaza anyone?

Post#1 » by wizardg » Tue Jul 7, 2009 10:41 pm

Zaza has played well against the evil empire (Gasol) . Gasol struggled against Zaza on the offensive boards as Zaza twice pulled 13 boards in little over twenty minutes.

Zaza is bigger and stronger even though at 6 11 is shorter.

Zaza can hit the jumper and put the ball on the floor. Did I say he killed Gasol on the offensive glass. lol. With Duncan, Parker, Jeff and a healthy Manu the Spurs don't need much from Zaza.

His D is lacking but he'd be better with us.
If we spend any money up front this would be a better place than Big Baby.

If the Spurs fail to get Mcdyess, than I'd expect them to go quite hard after Zaza.

Dyess would still be a better option, but i'd be open to signing Zaza if we fail to get him.

Well it looks like we've decided to go with McDyess who's going to be a great fit with us. But I would liked us to more aggressively pursue Zaza, he's much younger and I think he would of been a better fit. Mainly because he's more of pure center than McDyess, something I really think we needed. But it looks like he got a nice contract with the Hawks so I hope he does well.

Too late Spurs fans. Zaza and the Hawks have apparently come to terms on a new deal. The terms were not disclose.
