Spurs adds Danny Green !

There we go guys. Our backup SF is Danny Green, former Cavs player.

Considering the options, i think it was a decent addition. He is a pretty good defender.

I remember he was a popular option in 2009 for the 2nd round pick before we got Dejuan.

Thoughts guys ?
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

That's not a bad pick up at all. Danny Green had good potential when entered the league but he never met them. If there is one organization that will get the best of you in NBA that would be the SPURS.

I like the addition. Green can shoot the ball and he's a pretty good defender.

I think a very good pickup. Has excellent length, can play defense, can shoot some corner 3 and is athletic. I remember when he was entering the draft he was being compared to Bruce Bowen.

He's from UNC. Talent from the ACC rarely disappoints. Spurs will instantly make him contribute. I was really hoping Dallas would sign this guy.

Hopefully we fufills some of that potential. We could really use a Bowen clone, heck every team could use a Bowen clone.

Anyone even close to resembling what Bowen brought to the table is a welcome addition IMO. Hope it works out.

He played at UNC got drafted in the 2nd round by the Cav's last year and spent last season with them.

Good high energy defender and a streaky shooter.

Is he a good perimeter defender? I felt the Spurs were lacking in one area and that was it. So does he solve that problem? Reason is that when they play the Lakers, it would be good to have a good perimeter defender on Kobe, thus no need to double on him.

He's suposed to be a good perimeter defender. But I haven't seen enough of him yet to give you a definite answer.

RJ's really stepped up his man defense and Manu's still a very good defender. Our perimeter defense isn't great but it's good enough.

I dont get a good feel that Mr. Green will be sticking around. I mean that 12 and 13 spot has been like a swing door. Spurs are looking at a lot of players and no one is what Pop wants. I doubt Quinn sticks around much longer either.
