GT: Thunder vs. Spurs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Wed Feb 23, 2011 2:07 am

When: 7:00 PM ET, February 23, 2011
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

VS

Starting Lineups:

Thunder:
PG - Russel Westbrook
SG - Thabo Sefolosha
SF - Kevin Durant
PF - Jeff Green
C - Nenad Kristic

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Manu Ginobli
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Dejuan Blair

Its our first home game in a long time and its going to be a tough one against the Thunder. The key as always with the Thunder is going to be stopping Kevin Durant, he's leading the league in scoring right now and to stop him its going to take a team effort.

Splitter is questionable for this one.

Go Spurs!!

Prediction: we won't beat them by 27 this time around.

Should be a good game. Nice to be back home.

Ugh, Westbrook and TP are trying to see who can outscore who and Westbrook is winning right now.

Only watched the first half. Thunder didn't look like they're playing on b2b. What happened in the 2nd half? I read Parker saying it was a very physical game and it didn't look that way in the 1st half. Also Durant and Duncan got technicals. Parker also said something about playoff atmosphere. I missed the good parts of the game.

?? It was a very physical game, esp in the 1st half.

What a great game. I'd love to face these guys in the playoffs.

Just read the recap. They said it started in the end of the 2nd quarter. I don't recall anything that happen in the 2nd quarter. I was fully awake for the 1st quarter and OKC was making shots all over the place. High scoring quarter. Was half awake for the 2nd quarter. Definitely did not watch the shoving match that happened. Still waiting for it to pop up on youtube. Didn't show up in the game highlights.

I was surprised at the physicality. It felt like a playoff game. Westbrook, Ibaka and Collison were very physical in the game, more so than the past few times we've played them. Got to respect it though, they're just playing hard ball.

It was not just how hard both teams fouled, the entire game had this playoff atmosphere around it - with the Thunder coming back to almost win it at the end. It was an awesome game and a great win for us. I liked how Gary Neal went unconscious with his shooting in the 3rd quarter and hit a 3-pointer on a fastbreak over a defender that made Pop hold his head in his hands in clear disbelief.
