When: 8:00 PM ET, March 1, 2011
Where: FedExForum, Memphis, TN

Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - George Hill
SG - Manu Ginobili
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - DeJuan Blair

Grizzlies:
PG - Mike Conely
SG - Sam Young
SF - Shane Battier
PF - Zach Randolph
C - Marc Gasol

Its time for game 2 of the home and home with the Grizzlies and without TP this game just got a lot tougher. The key to winning this game is going to be the play of George Hill. With TP out he needs to have a good perfomance for us to win this game.

And of course Parker will miss this game for us. No word yet on whether Neal will play or not.

Go Spurs!!

Memphis is favored to win by one point in most betting sites.

I want the Spurs to win, but I still placed my bet on Memphis winning. I just don't see it.

Mark my words: George Hill is a terrible playmaker. Great shooter, specially from the corner, but nothing but smart. On the other hand, Neal really surprise me at playmaking.
Bad game for the Spurs, no sharp defense and tons of turnovers.
Let's make it 50-11 tomorrow against the Cavs.

Tough loss tonight, but it was against a fairly tough opponent and we were without Parker.

George threw the ball away way too much. Especially early in the 1st quarter. It almost felt like it set the tone for a night of turnovers.

To be fair, I do think Memphis wants it more than us. They either got tougher than the previous game or we didn't remain as tough, cause I think the difference in effort is obvious. They're home, fighting for 8th seed and have revenge on their mind. I'd be more surprised if the Spurs actually win this one.

Wasn't blaming the loss on George Hill, just saying that his playmaking abilities are not good, and we shouldn't overate his playing at the point.

Hill's a great player. He is what he is: a late first round pick. I think he's been fantastic. But he's no Tony Parker and this next month or so worth of games will show the true value of both players to this team.

I agree. For a late first round pick, he's been fantastic.

As for his playmaking, I personally don't think he's a fulltime PG. His future in this league IMO is a combo guard in the mold of... Barbosa.. He's not a good enough SG and kind of lack the size to play there full time. He lacks the playmaking skills to be a full time PG.

Hill's biggest attribute remains to be his defensive skills and IMO improved scoring ability.
