The rich get richer. According to Marc J. Spears.

Spurs have signed forward Da’Sean Butler.

I thought the Heat had his rights? Butler was a great player before tearing his ACL in the Final Four against Duke last year. The Butler did it!!

Yea he was good before the ACL injury. We'll see what happens now. I expect them to put him in a spot up shooter role, but who knows he might surprise. I don't think it's anything groundbreaking anyways, just a tryout pretty much.

I liked him a lot in the tourney last year. I even watched the game when he got hurt. I hope things work out for him

WOW Just found out and I'm over the moon with excitement (even though he is coming off a serious injury). Last year Da'Sean was the guy I wanted us to draft before that semi-final game v. Duke where he blew out his knee! I really hope he sticks around! GO SPURS GO!

great to hear, i know if hes fully healthy that he will be a great player for them.

i was hoping raptors would try to get him though, hes a young prospect with low risk especially since we need a 2nd SF and he could have been a back up, or who knows he could have started. Good to hear hes healthy though

Glad we signed him. Like batmana I was high on him before the knee injury, hopefully he pans out.

Great signing the guy hits game winning shots, scores from all areas of the floor and can handle the basketball well.

I can't believe no one else thought of grabbing Butler and stashing him away while he recovers. This guy is going to be a solid NBA starter

Hopefully he pans out. We could really use another solid SF on our team.
