Bulls guard Derrick Rosa is the youngest MVP award-winner in the history of the NBA, according to a source familiar with the situation.

The 22-year-old Rose was widely expected to win the award after leading the Bulls to a 62-20 record and No. 1 seed in the playoffs, according to an ESPN.com report on Monday.

Its not offical yet but it sounds like it will be soon.

He had an amazing season and he deserves it.

Congrats D-Rose!

Well deserved. His shooting has been shaky in the second half of the year and leading into the playoffs, but that's really his only weakness. He's a fantastic player and practically the entire Bulls offense.

The guy is an unbelievable player. I knew he would be great... just look at his first playoff game... but youngest MVP, impressive to say the least.

Hope the Bulls win the championship.

I know it's against the code of a Spurs fan to root for the Mavs, but I'd love to see Kidd and Dirk get a ring.

I didn't want to say that out loud, but me too.

I don't want LA or Miami to win the title. Of the teams that is left, the team I hope to win the title is Dallas. As much as I hate their fans and Jason Terry, I like just about everybody else on their team. Dirk and Kidd the most.

If Dallas can't win it, I hope Chicago does.

Yeah their fans are mostly d-bags, but I've got a lot of respect for Kidd and Dirk, Chandler too. Not a fan of Marion and Terry, hate those guys with a passion. But if the Mavs can't win I'd love to see OKC win it all.

Plus I collect on $500 if OKC and the Bulls win their respective conferences.
