Doubt about the lockout

Post#1 » by franktony » Sun Jul 3, 2011 12:38 am

Hi guys,

I would like to know what happens with expiring contracts with the lockout.

Assuming we lose the whole season with the lockout, what happens to Duncan's contract for example ?

It goes exactly how it is (21.1m/1y) to the next season ?
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

That's my understanding of the situation.

Idk, I could have sworn that this year still counts towards the contract, players with expirings this season will be expired going into the 12-13 season if the lockout is all year.

I agree with Rwill. This year still counts toward the contract. In Duncan's situation, if the 11-12 season is wiped out, then he'll be a FA going into the 12-13 season.

If this year counts towards the contract, then TD will be a FA next season. Manu will have only 1 year left in his contract. The only good news about it is the fact that Richard Jefferson will not get his 9m
