Antonio McDyess Appreciation Thread

We've waived him, so he's hanging it up after 17 years. I liked him for us, obviously we got him at the tail end of a solid career and following a mini-resurgence in Detroit, but he was a strong presence and played well in the limited minutes he saw.

Dude was all heart and will be missed.

Antonio was a very solid player for us and always gave it all on the floor. It was a great career for him and I almost feel sorry we denied him the only chance he got at a title ( well, not really) in '05.

And of course, he gave us this unforgettable jewel:

I am not really sure whether we can find a solid replacement for him this season or if he would have still been better than anyone we could get for the minimum... But his retirement was something we expected so thanks for the memories, Antonio!

Great dude and a great player he's going to be very tough to replace.

He was awesome here and a true professional. Love him, gave it all while he was here. :) Never thought that he would have such a long career after his knee injuries.

Class act

Wish him the best. Too bad we couldn't give him a ring
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”
