GT: Trailblazers vs. Spurs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Thu Jan 12, 2012 11:54 pm

When: 8:30 PM ET, January 13, 2012
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

Starting Lineups:

Trailblazers:
PG - Raymond Felton
SG - Wesley Matthews
SF - Gerald Wallace
PF - LaMarcus Aldridge
C - Marcus Camby

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Kawhi Leonard
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - DeJuan Blair

The Blazers have been great this year and they might be our biggest test yet.

The key to winning this is going to be stopping Aldridge. He's been the Blazers best player so far this year and the focal point of their offense, if we can stop him we can win this game.

Go Spurs!!

Like the insertion of Leonard into the starting lineup. We need his energy and hustle to start games.

Aldridge is a beast but we also have to be wary of Crash as well. Dangerous player.

Their entire frontcourt is very dangerous.

Very high on Portland this season - lot of depth, especially with interior play

Hopefully we don't get killed, stay close and we'll have a good chance to win

Didn't see the game, but impressive win here... the infusion of youth and as a result better depth has really helped us a lot to stay solid

POR losing Camby for probably a bit sucks, though...

If we can hang onto a top 4 seed with no Manu or backup PG I think that's a huge accomplishment.

Great win, getting Aldridge sitting with a few fouls along the way definitely helped us, he was the only Portland player that looked like winning the game for them.

Our defense is starting to pick up with the energy of the young guys in our squad.

It's amazing that Manu's injury might end up being a blessing, we have young guys who are now getting more minutes and confidence. I was optimistic about Leonard but he has even passed my expectations. Green has also been a real find. If Manu is back firing come playoffs it can only be a good thing for us.
