Actually, I'm comparing Cory with Quinn and Hill's first years. II didn't see much of Quinn in his earlier years either.

Thing is with the youngsters, I think they either have to have a lot of potential (usually based on athleticism or size here) or a particular skill that he did very well/above average in college that could translate to the NBA.

Like for instance Blair was a strong rebounder in college. Atleast you get the sense that even if he doesn't improve on anything, he's likely to become an above average rebounder later in his career or prime years. Or you can bank on size and athleticism like we did with Ian Mahinmi because that's all potential. High reward low risk thing.

The more I watch Joseph, I'm just more disappointed because I'm not seeing the potential nor the transferable skill. I mean, I look at Avery Bradley last year and say he suck at everything but atleast he was a great individual defensive player in college. I'm sure that part of his game will soon translate to the NBA in a few years. It is finally starting to show in Boston.

Yeah I know what you mean, I just hope he's a hard worker. The best thing about our organisation is they have the best environment to learn. If they dont get it here I wouldnt hold hopes for them anywhere else..

I think he just will take a couple years more to establish himself... whether that's in the NBA or not. Can't really write his game off as nothing yet.

It's way too early to write him off, he's only 20 and he's still raw as hell.

I have no delusions that he's going to be a star or anything but I think he can be a solid backup for a long time.

You've gotta be kidding, right? I wouldn't give any one of those players for soon-to-be 40 Anthony Carter. Cory Joseph has the future ahead of him, it might not be bright but at least we have to wait for him to show what kind of a player he's gonna turn into. Try selling Carter elsewhere.

this guy is draft bust or just to raw

the spurs system and a team in win mode dont need to draft pgs and developing them, unless we are rebuilding...but this was a wasted draft pick imo....that backup pg role couldve been better spent on signing a veteran who can hold down the fort with the bench players...i dunno why we didnt kept quinn, he didnt cause alot of mistakes last season....

This is encouraging at least?

He's been amazing in the D-leauge over the last week or so, hopefully he keeps it up.

We knew he would not be ready when we drafted him. We drafted him as a young raw prospect. He has all the tools to be a good PG in the NBA. Hopefully he won't become another James Anderson
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”
