I wish Patty played last night. I think everyone else got cowed by the Celtics D in the second half. Patty seems like the kind of guy that doesn't get rattled very easily.

I have no idea why you think that. I hardly wanted to see Patty Mills played. He's not better than TJ Ford. If anything, I wish I get to see Diaw againts Boston because we need him in the playoffs. Today would've been a good test.

Well its really kind of an uninformed desire. I honestly don't know that much about him, apart from t he last few games. But even Ginobili and Duncan were shaken up against Boston last night, and Tony wasn't having a good game either. I would have loved to see what kind of balls this guy has.

The issue with Manu and Parker againts Boston was that Celtic's aggresive defense kept Manu and Parker out of the paint. Manu IMO has been very passive attacking the rim ever since his return. I'm hoping he's just not in shape yet, but part of me thinks he's just trying to fit in now because he has repeatedly say that it's Parker's team now and stuff about how the team was playing well without him that he doesn't want to mess things up. Manu needs to take more control of the team because he's the Star, not fit in with the rest of the bench. Parker, I thought Celtics defended him well. Avery Bradley is an extremely physical defender and I thought judging by that game, he defended Parker better than anybody I've seen this year.

Now about Mills, he's not a penetrator in the first place. Tj Ford, Neal, Parker, Manu, those guys penetrate and look to get to the paint first. Mills, in our system, is basically more like a Chris Quinn type. So really, our problem wasn't about guys afraid to launch three pointers. That's what Mills would do. We needed guys to get to the paint, which Mills isn't good at.

Ahh.. I thought Mills was a smaller Tony Parker. He certainly has the speed to be. But again, he is the only guy on the team I know nothing about so i'll trust you on that one.

I agree about Manu though, kind of like with the Lakers this year. Everyone gives Kobe so much $hit for taking as many shots as he does, but in crunch time, there isn't a guy you'd rather have with the ball. Manu needs to be that guy again. Even if he's worried about turning the ball over/missing the 3, he's still our best scoring threat at the end of games. Ramp up his shots in my opinion. He only took 6 last night. TP can be the mule for the first 3 quarters, but that doesn't Manu can be un-involved.
