Byars got facialed!!!
Not seeing anything from Byars so far. He looks comfortable shooting the three (in that he kept on launching) but he's not making it. Not sure how good he actually is at that. Looks like he's got a good build much like Sjax. I assume he's probably around the same size perhaps. 6'7 or 6'8 and 225 lbs maybe? But really, not seeing anything. Not a scorer, has the body to be a defensive player but really isn't showing tenacity or anything on that end either. I don't know why the name sounds so familiar thou.. Derrick Byars. Almost like I've heard that somewhere before.
Cory Joseph looks a lot more comfortable now than he did early in the season. His time at Austin is paying off I guess. He's more aggresive on the offensive end trying to penetrate and what I really like is his play on the defensive end. Early on, Klay Thompson was posting him up and I thought Joseph was physical on his defense. I don't remember if Klay make his shots are not, but I just remember Joseph doing a pretty good job there. And then he's out there getting up high for rebounds and all that, he earned some points from me tonight.
Patty Mills cut down his shooting after the first quarter but I guess we do needed that from him with the guys who are playing tonight.
Our second best scorer is probably James Anderson and despite his high total points tonight, I'm not seeing anything special. He just looks average on all areas offensively. Not that good of a shooter, not that good of a slasher, decent dribbling skills, decent quickness/speed, decent athleticism, poor finishing skills around the rim.. He's not a bad player, but he doesn't really provide anything special to the team. When it comes to our SGs, Gary Neal is the best scorer, Danny Green is the best defender, James Anderson is just the guy in between.
