Bradley Beal?

Post#1 » by Nolan » Wed Jun 27, 2012 9:45 pm

Bradley Beal revealed that Sam Presti told him in an interview in Chicago that the Thunder were interested in trading up to draft him.

Beal said Denver, which picks at No. 20, also made a similar statement.

The Spurs have also been interested in moving up to draft Beal.

I'm a huge fan of Beal and I can understand why teams want to move up for him, but what do we really have to offer to a team picking in the top 5?

I really hope we don't. The only way we get a pick this high is if we break up the big three. Trading Manu/Parker basically means the end of contention.

I also don't think we can objectively make a trade for a top 5 pick. Maybe this is some sort of misdirection where we are really looking to move into the middle of the 1st round for someone like Meyers Leonard or Tyler Zeller. The question is whether there is really such a stupid team that would trade a 1st round pick for DeJuan Blair, Matt Bonner, James Anderson or maybe Tiago Splitter (I can't imagine we are offering anything better than that).
