If Noah came here the Spurs could win the championship this year. I would trade Splitter, Bonner, Green, and whatever else needed to get it done. Just not Leonard.

Duncan, Noah, Diaw would be the best rotation in the playoffs (big men). The rest of the team is good enough to get it done.

But unless Chicago was going to blow up the team and start all over, I have no idea why they would do it. If Chicago absolutely had to have Leonard, I would think real hard about a deal of Leonard and Splitter for Noah and someone else, I just am not sure who else I would want from them.

For those people claiming that Leonard is the future of the Spurs, I doubt very seriously that he will sign a long term deal with the Spurs. He is a southern California guy and he has a great future. I think he can be the second , or preferably the third, best player on a championship team. After Duncan retires, the Spurs have almost zero chance at a championship. My guess is that he will want to go to a team with a chance to win it all. And I wouldn't blame him.

The Lopez and Batum for Splitter/Leonard is a really interesting idea. I would do it in a heartbeat, and believe that the Spurs would have a better chance at a championship after the trade was done.

I would take Lopez over Splitter any day (and he is even cheaper), and Batum/Leonard is a wash. Everybody in SA would be speaking french after we won a championship this year.

However, I have absolutely no idea why Portland would do this. Let them have a solid run in the playoffs this year for experience, and then they are just one more solid player away from being championship material. Why would they break that up?

I'm still scratching my head over re-signing Splitter. I don't mind him that much but not at the price we signed him for.
