GT: Spurs vs. Cavaliers

Post#1 » by Nolan » Tue Mar 4, 2014 4:29 pm

When: 7:00 PM ET, March 4, 2014
Where: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH

The Cav's have been chasing that 8th seed in the east and they've upset some pretty good teams in the last couple weeks so we need to bring our A game and cut down on the turnovers that have been plaguing us lately.

Go Spurs!!

Spurs looking scarey good right now, unbelievable 2nd quarter. This year with Mills being such a strong backup, Manu playing at a high level again, and that extra depth with Marco coming off the bench... We are going to be tough to stop when healthy.

I think the biggest improvement this year has come from the second unit. Boris Diaw becoming offensive minded. Patty Mills provide the scoring. Manu was somewhat forced to become scorer and playmaker last year. He was able to do that a few years ago but he has become mostly a playmaker now and he's got the right group around him. And then Marco's addition.

It's the bench that is looking amazing. I'll argue that our starting lineup isn't as strong, and that's where my worries lie right now. The starting lineup's defense is basically as good as last year, but the offense isn't as good. Parker isn't playing like his MVP self, and we haven't need that from him either this year. Kawhi hasn't take that leap offensively that we thought he would.

So when playoffs come around and as always, the starters start to play more minutes with the bench playing less, are we going to be as good? Will the bench produce like they do now in shorten minutes?

^^^ Agree. Our second unit is basically deciding games at this point.
