I agree overall Mills needs massive improvement, I really don't think it is his talent, I think it is confidence and mentality, for me I play in leagues and got drafted for a semi pro team, I could miss 10 shots in a row, I don't give a *** Im poppin it because I know every shot I shoot is going in. with patty I think once he misses a couple shot or makes a bad play or two, he starts getting down on himself, and then his game starts to go down hill.
The biggest think with patty is mentality, and as for Marco, we got him to be a 3 premiter player mostly, I don't his 3pt percentage is that bad. I would have to check.
MY BIGGEST SURPRIS SO FAR THOUGH, where is the RED MAMBA. lol I think Bonner is a great option, and would like to see more playing time for him. I think he was top 5 in 3pt percentage this year if im not mistaken. He is always a good threat, and centers typically give him enough space to pop.
Patty just needs to learn to forget about a bad play or use the bad play to motivate him and not bring him down. that is just my opinion.
that is one thing I like about Danny Green though, He seems to have the I don't care im shooting no matter what mentality, nothing can rattle greens confidence, which is major, if patty and that mentality I Know he would be a better player instantly, however patty is not the take over guy when parker retires in my opinion we need a star PG.
I don't agree with most of this.
How exactly is Danny Green a spurt player? I mean, you can call Mills a spurt player because he gets hot in a hurry. Danny almost never has scoring spurts, unless he was getting wide open 3s either from a halfcourt set or a transition 3. And I feel like he's a very steady defensive player. Gets the occasional block and steal. But the guy has no spurts whatsoever during the game.
Patty Mills was lauded all season for having incredible confidence to the point where he was over confident in taking stupid shots. Luckily during the season, he was making these crazy shots and if you consistently make your crazy shots, they become not so crazy anymore. But can you call anybody else on this team who takes (and makes) crazy shots as Patty Mills? The guy always comes in shooting when he touches the ball. We're lucky he always play alongside Manu, a playmaker. Otherwise, we'd all be pulling our hairs out. Right now, I see Patty taking the same shots he's taking during the season. Jack up 3s. Shots on the elbow from the FT line. It's just that he's not getting as many minutes as during the regular season and he's not making these crazy shots he was making during the season. I really don't see this as a confidence issue, considering he's still taking shots like he's Jordan.
And as for Bonner getting more minutes, I hope you're the only one that feels that way. We've all been clamoring for less Matt Bonner for atleast 5 years now. This is finally the first season (so far) that we've stopped playing Bonner other than as a specialist. Best example would be like how we used Steve Kerr. He only comes in when we need shooting on the floor. 7 games series, and he might only play in 2 games. But more minutes for Bonner? No. Please don't let Pop hear this. Don't let this happen.
