So is he gonna keep playing next season?

Yes.

He said as long as he's feeling great he would. And he is feeling great.

People wanna talk about Duncan retiring as a champion like David Robinson did, but people forget that Robinson was bothered by a back injury in his last few seasons. Ultimately, injuries is what retires veteran players.

So my guess is that Duncan is playing until he suffers a major injury, or just a whole bunch of minor injuries that will limit his play, and then he'll call it quits. But as long as he's as healthy as he is now, I don't see it. Unless ofcourse he turns 40.

He will be back.

It's Manu who should be retiring. Maybe give his national team one last visit in the process.

Yes, he said to Stewart Scott that he will play till either he feels he can't contribute or until the Spurs tell him as much. He then said he feels he can still contribute. He will be back with Pop and Ginobili for a title defense.

These Spurs played better than any Spurs team I have ever seen, and it really turned after the Game 4 of the Thunder series. I think now that they understand how to win with good shooting, selfless positions. We should be favorites going into next year. Team health is our biggest opponent.

Both Timmy and Manu said they wanted to play next year. They also stated that during the season. If I had just dunked in Chris Bosh's face like that, I doubt I would be ready to retire either...

He is coming back at leadt another year. There is no magic age to retire, it is just a number. Players retire;
A) they dont get a decent contract and/or playing time
B) they have lost their motivation to play and have no financial obligation to continue.
C) major injuries
D) big decline in stats, a hof does not want to be around for long if the productivity is barely half of what it used to be. Not good for the legacy neither fun.
E) personal/family reasons

Nobody retires just because of ago but at least due to one of the above reasons. Of course reaching 35+ increases chances of having above issues but the age itself does not matter. Tim Duncan does not have any of these issues (yet) so he will keep on playing.
