SAN ANTONIO — The Spurs made their final three roster cuts Saturday, announcing the release of forwards JaMychal Green, Robert Vaden and Fuquan Edwin.
Green appeared in six preseason games, averaging 5.3 points and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 73.3 percent. Vaden and Edwin were signed Friday so that the Spurs might obtain their Development League rights, and did not appear in any preseason games.
As the Spurs’ final three cuts, those players are eligible to be assigned to the team’s D-League affiliate in Austin. The Spurs’ roster now stands at 15, the NBA maximum heading into the regular season.
Once again not a surprise but it'll be interesting to see if he does go to Austin or if he pursues a contract overseas.
