GT: Spurs vs. Jazz

Post#1 » by Nolan » Mon Apr 4, 2016 12:59 pm

When: 7:00 PM MT Apr. 5th 2016
When: Vivint Smart Home Arena, Salt Lake City UT

Should be a good one tonight. The Jazz always play hard and considering that they're in the middle of a tough playoff race they're going to be really upping the intensity tonight, so we're going to have to do our best to match it.

Go Spurs!!

We are playing decent in the first half but Utah cant throw it in the ocean. But even they are not as bad as Danny Green. Ive seem him attempt 2 WIDE OPEN threes and neither of them had any chance in hell of going in. Not even close. I hate to nitpick but WTF?

Green can't even do simple things. He is loose on the dribble, hesitates on passes, hell he couldn't even get a decent pass to Parker on a break early in the 1st.

If he couldn't defend, he'd be on the bench not playing on most teams. It's ridiculous we have the record we do with possibly the worst starting SG offensively in the league.

We brought Bonner in, Anderson got minutes, Green was terrible. Jazz hit 4 threes to start the 4th (my favourite Ingles 3/3 to start, who I wanted in a Spurs uniform before there was any talk of him coming to the league).

Jazz choke a bit at the line and struggle in late game and late shot clock situations and could have easily stole this one. They also got some bad calls. There were bad one's each way but they got the short end of the stick, quite a few times Haywood got hammered with no call.

Aldridge started 4/4 or 5/5 something like that. All long range jumpers in the first quarter, he looked like an unstoppable machine.

Good tough, hard fought game in the end. I love the Jazz. Especially since they've stopped giving Burke playing time. They are a quality PG (or an improved Exum) from being beastly. Hood had some amazing moves and is starting to nail threes as well so I think he is the surprise packet added to the already improving core.

In the end Gobert swatted a Parker layup, then Kawhi hit the game winner on a basic catch and shoot, no move at all. Solid test for us I think.
