Green hasn't looked terrible shooting, but I'm glad to see Pop willing to give Martin minutes, both at the end of the season and in these two games. The guy can simply score.

Solid win. We started off slow (again) but picked it up and finished them off at halftime. Kawhi looked a little off on the offense end but was solid, LMA was great, Parker didn't light up the boxscore but he did a good job of penetrating and drawing the defense in, Patty was terrific and K-Mart had some moments as well.
Two more games like this then we can get ready for round 2.

Game 3 tonight. I'm guessing the Grizz are going to come out fightin' on they're home court so we gotta step it up tonight.

Pretty average performance, we are playing as if we were preparing for a D League team and haven't matched their intensity most of the game.
Some positives here and there but the score line isn't great.
edit: So we turned it on for a couple minutes to close it out. Green's shot is looking better which is good.
And yeah their team is one of the worst to ever set foot in the playoffs due to injury but Kawhi's stat line:
32pts 6-9 on 3, 7 rbs, 5 blocks, 4 steals, zero turnovers.

I think that was their best shot. We need to get this closed out. With The Warriors and Thunder losing games we need to take advantage.

Tony with yet another horrible game, and it's becoming a major concern moving forward... The good news is Manu is looking great so far, and Green average, which is an improvement over the regular season.

Grizzlies left it all on the floor last night. Great effort from them.
Kawhi carried us in this one. He got every 50 50 ball, did an unreal job of pushing the ball in transition, got a ton of steals/deflections, shot the lights out from three and made some tough mid range jumpers, that one late in the game when Allen was basically sexually assaulting him really stands out.

Re: Round 1: Spurs (2) vs. Grizzlies (7)
Glad this series is over. I guess we played as well as we could against a struggling team. Memphis was just too under manned to put up much of a fight. I'm a little worried going into the next round since this current team hasn't been challenged. OKC is definitely going to challenge us physically and mentally.
I want to see how this team is going to react when things aren't going well. In the regular season we failed that test miserably, but I'll hold out hope that it was because it was the regular season. If you think about it, this could be the perfect setup. As of today we are not ready to take on the Warriors in a series. I believe we would get bitch-slapped. OKC is going to demand us to play well to beat them and hopefully if we can do that we will be prepared to take on the Warriors by then.

Re: Round 1: Spurs (2) vs. Grizzlies (7)
Well it was a sweep as expected. Memphis really put up a fight in those last two games but they were just so undermanned.
Kawhi and LMA both looked amazing in this series. But Tony and Danny worry me, both of them showed signs of life but if we want to make a serious run both of them have to be a lot more consistent.

Just gotta wait and see. I'm done counting on Danny for anything. As for Tony, i'm sure he'll come alive when he needs to.
