SAN ANTONIO – Taking a flyer on a long-range shooter, the Spurs have signed Argentine undrafted free agent forward Patricio Garino, his agent confirmed Friday via Twitter.

Garino’s deal is reportedly partially guaranteed. The George Washington University alumnus had a summer league stint with the Orlando Magic and is a member of Argentina’s Olympic team.

In 129 games for GWU, Garino averaged 12.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Last season, he averaged 14.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.4 seals while shooting 51 percent from the field and a career-high 43 percent from 3-point range.

Interesting signing. Can't I know much about him but after reading his DX profile and watching a bit of youtube he looks like a decent enough prospect. High IQ player that shoot from deep. pretty decent size for a wing (6'7 with a 6'10 wingspan) but athletically he's nothing special.

His deal is reportedly only partially guaranteed so he's more than likely heading to Austin. But he seems like a guy worth taking a look at.

He could be a decent role player. Good size and strength. Cant hurt bringing him in and see if he can find a spot. What sticks out to me from seeing him in Orlando was how strong he is. He could definitely handle the pounding of the NBA which is something I cant say about a lot of draftees this year.

Well, he played 4 years in College + International Competition. He's more ready than any rookie (experience wise aswell).
To be honest, i think he's just going to Austin, but as far as replacing Kawhi with a good defender + 3 point shooting, he's the guy. Kyle is a different type of SF (if he's a SF).

Good long range shooter but Defense is why he was brought into camp. Probably spends the year in Austin.

So the comps I'm seeing are PJ Tucker and Ime Udoka.
