That was disappointing to say the least.

Kawhi at times should've been less selfish, when he had others with wide open shots.
Nico's gotta go.
Anderson is basically a pole on the court. Dude doesn't shoot, average D, doesn't spread the ball well, slowaf, doesn't bring nothing to the team.
Disappointing that our bigs are getting bullied on the boards. LMA really needs a kick up the backside

Good to see Green back. Totally okay with him taking as many 3s as he wants, as long as he makes it up for defense. Which he did in that 4th quarter.

Mills played well
Simmons played well
Manu was Manu
Kawhi was Kawhi, maybe a little too selfish knowing they needed points
Aldridge was missing jumpers that he attempts all career long
Gasol was... okay? Maybe a little less than that. I'd say tolerable... I guess.

I'm done with Kyle Anderson, however. I expect him to be completely fazed out the roster once Parker returns this weekend. Man has allergic to shooting and only shoots when the clock is going down. Don't care if his BB IQ is high.

I'm liking Lee, and I'm liking Dedmon. Dedmon should be on that starting lineup though. Gasol better check that Ego and take that benching like a man or don't come back.

I was excited with Kawhi's agressive style in first games...putting up big numbers every night and joining the MVP race...but man, in last games I'm starting to be tired with his hero ball...this team is looking more like the Kobe Lakers than the Spurs...Yesterday's final play is an example of that...Pau was open with an open three...he may even could have made the extra-pass to Manu who was on his left...
Kawhi is a TOP 5 player no matter how many points he score...I like the fierce competitor that he has been being since the start of the season...but he isn't at Pelicans or in any other crappy team to take all the shots no matter what. He still can score plus 25 with better efficiency without taking 30 shots per game.
When this account gets more "And1"s than posts written ...then my life will be complete. And maybe it will be the right time to hang it up. (Achieved on 2017-2018 season)...but still here.

I have to kind of agree.

He was 7-20 on 2 point fg's because he forced a lot of them he normally doesn't take.

And not sure if it was a good or bad thing but he showed a lot of emotion at times. Questioning teammates, screaming and hands on his head after that blown bounce pass and a few protests to the refs.

That was disappointing. I didn't get to see it live, but just saw it now. Kawhi's still learning how to be the guy he's evolving into, and last night was an example of him not knowing exactly what to do with himself in terms of leading and taking over. Timmy went through the same thing in his way, right around his 5th-6th year, so I expect us to see him struggle with games like this one, but ultimately, it'll be a good and necessary struggle.

I was happy to see Green get burn for the first time this season, and Mills did some nice things. My impression of the team thus far is that we just don't have a lot of tricks up our sleeves this year. When tings are smooth, we're a nice team, but we aren't as diverse or adaptable as we've been in years past, and that's going to continue to be an issue.

I expected some losses to happen early in the season so I'd say not to overreact. There have been constant changes in the rotation for this past games due to injuries and Pop trying out different stuff. It's an adjustment season, and this things will happen. Manu is playing way more than he should be playing right now. Gasol's gotta figure out a way to contribute on defense within the system and his limitations. Nico shouldn't be playing this minutes, he's only been thrown into this situation because of Parker's injury. He hasn't had nearly enough adaptation time in the NBA as to play important minutes, so yeah, expect him to suck when he does.

All in all, calling for letting go players 8 games into the season is very premature. By mid-season would be a different story (I'm looking at you, Kyle).

This was an awful game with awful defense and we just lost by 2, with the possibility of tying it. Shots just didn't fall all game long. Remember D'Antoni always gave the Spurs trouble in the past, so it's no different now. But I repeat, we shouldn't overreact. I think we've been very spoiled the last few years with the way the team plays if we find starting 5-3 as unacceptable.

Rough loss considering that we could of easily won this one and we really should of taken it too overtime at the very least (we had two gimmies at the rim).

Our defense in the first half was just plain awful, gave up way too many easy ones in transition and bit on so many pumpfakes. Things got better in the 2nd half but it was just wasn't enough. Gasol is terrified of stepping out onto the perimeter and teams have been exploiting that at will, LMA on the other hand has been actually playing some pretty good perimeter D.

Nice to see Green back. He looked fairly confident on the offensive end, made some shots, played within himself and he actually looked okay off the dribble. And as usual his defense was excellent.

I don't get the Kawhi criticism at all. Dude carried us on both ends all night (like he's been doing all year), yes he made some mistakes and took a few bad shots but he had 34 and 7 and only turned the ball over twice and no else really made an effort to help him out. You cannot ask for more from him. If we're going to be criticizing anyone it should be the supporting cast, Kawhi needs help on the offensive end.

Overall i'm not too worried. We've got a lot of new pieces this year and it's going to take a bit of time to get everyone on the same page. Yes games like this are frustrating but we'll build off this and we will get better as the season goes on.

Laprovittola seemed lost
Kyle Anderson I only saw him make two plays, both on the 4th quarter and both on D. He was, again, scoreless...
Pau has no defense whatsoever

I don't know if Kawhi is 100% ready to be the guy, but it'll be a progression

Manu plays because he is the one who orders the 2nd unit, until someone else steps up he will continue playing this many minutes...

LaMarcus and Pau get in each others face while they're on the court, I'll keep saying it: to me they should play when the other one is resting

I love how Simmons is playing

Let's not forget that when Tim was playing all the spurs gave him the ball and started the plays from there. Also: 7 rookies?
