GT: Warriors vs. Spurs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Fri Mar 10, 2017 10:25 pm

When: 6:30 PM MT, Mar 11th 2017
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio TX

This is a game we really need to win if we want to get that number one seed. The Warriors haven't looked great since Durant went down but they're still one of if not the best team in the league. Everyone needs to show up for this one.

Go Spurs!!

Even as bad as we have been playing, we should win this because its a home game.

IMO the key will be shot selection, not making shots. If we continue to hesitate or not take wide open shots and settle for contested bad shots we are doomed. I know we've won 9 out of 10 but we are barely beating bad teams or beating teams that are playing worse than we are. Against a good team that will exploit weaknesses (there are only 2 or 3 in the entire league) we are going to get beat if we play sloppy.

This is really a must win game. Warriors on a b2b and we could tie for the 1st seed. Go Spurs Go!

LMA out for a little while: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18883035/lamarcus-aldridge-san-antonio-spurs-indefinitely-experiencing-minor-heart-arrhythmia

Hopefully it's CIA Pop, and LMA will be back soon. Keyword I feel is "minor" and will come back in a week 1/2. This isn't anything close to Chris Bosh like some people are saying, and don't understand medical condition defintions. Totally different.

Get better LMA.

Parker, Kawhi, Aldridge is out.

I got Aldridge in my thoughts, perhaps this was the reason for his inconsistent play?

I hope Aldridge is ok. This is a huge blow for us if he misses extended time, even as poorly as he has been playing.

So the benches are going to decide this one which will actually be interesting to watch if you ask me.
I expect Pau and David Lee to come up big tonight and if Danny Green would just do SOMETHING we should win. Patty should see huge minutes but too much Patty isn't a good thing IMO. He usually doesn't play well when relied upon for too much.

The entire Western Conference has just been blown wide open.

Patty and Bertans played great in the first half. Just as I expected though, Mills came back to earth in the 2nd half. Danny Green is entirely useless on this team offensively.
All in all, it was still good for these guys to get a bunch of NBA minutes, despite the announcers whining the entire game about the starts sitting. This game will help us become a better team later. (except for Danny Green)

absolute joke of a game for considering it was a prime time national tv broadcast... but good to get the young guys in a game, for both teams really.

The game was definitely a let down but hey we've now won the season series with the Warriors which is huge.
