If it were me I'd stay. But I also wouldn't hold anything against him if we took the payday.

Yeah, it's a tough decision. On one hand, the money is the obvious safe choice-- especially for a guy who doesn't have the blue-chip pedigree and who may not ever get to see that sort of payday again. On the other hand, he's going to get GOOD money either way, and four years is a long time to spend in a place; if he goes to a team with a dysfunctional culture or an inept FO or something (which, frankly is exactly the kind of team most likely to overpay in the first place), is it worth being miserable for the extra dough?

I suppose it's a nice problem to have. Ha ha.

man i wish pau opts out and signs at a lower deal with +1 year
keep dedmon and lee at all costs, u cant teach bigs and wasting another year to develop them or train them to understand the system is just wasting kawhis years...(dont think the serb rookie spurs drafted is ready yet to bring him over)

willing to sacrifice juice/patty....(players like juice are easy to replace, as for patty he be overpaid by some other team unless spurs free up capspace....chances of parker retiring is nil also)
bring back ginoboli for vet just for leadership moral on the bench

do u guys think spurs will bring back former players if they want to go the cheap route? gary neal is bouncing around the league...(ghill is going to be overpaid 20m+ a season, i doubt he comes back for peanut salary)

dont mind bringing back cojo, heck even colo in europe or tryin to persuade rudy fernandez to come back to the nba....(i give these guys the starting pg job over parker/patty/murry/forbes)

spurs have a solid core of young players around kawhi, who just needs more minutes and opportunities...anderson, murry, forbes, bertans, green

Return to San Antonio Spurs
