The San Antonio Spurs and George Hill have mutual interest in reuniting this offseason in free agency.

Hill was traded by the Spurs to the Indiana Pacers on draft night in 2011 for Kawhi Leonard.

Hill declined an extension offer from the Utah Jazz in February to become a free agent.

Hill has long been interest in returning to the Spurs and maintains a residence in San Antonio. Hill frequently works out at the Spurs' practice facility when in town.

I'd be all for it. Out of the PG's available he makes the most sense in my mind (yes over CP3). He can play off the ball, he play SG and he's a plus defender.

I wouldn't give him the max that's for sure. But I wouldn't be against giving him a decent payday.

Not me. He's 31 so maybe 1 or 2 at most productive years left if he's lucky.
My golden General Manager rule is never overspend for anyone over the age of 30 :D :D

That's definitely not a bad rule.

Perfect example is watching the Bulls get stuck with Dwayne Wade. They are screwed.
And Pau totally bailed us out from being in the same situation.

imo alot of teams are making moves, we dont need to make major moves, just 1-2 pieces needs to be replace and stay fit for the playoffs

adding ghill3 can play 3 positions for the spurs small ball...

missing out on cp3 is no big deal, clippers should stay pat and not gut their roster, whats worse could happen to them? 2nd round exit if they keep the same roster

cp3 wants max or near max, which is about 30m

spurs should just go after ghill for around 20m, take it or leave it...
someone said never overpay for someone over 30 with max money, has ghill ever had any significant injuries that decrease his athleticism and shooting ability?...u save money signing ghill and use the rest to retain or chase something in FA...

Return to San Antonio Spurs
